For this challenging project, I and a fellow designer created an application guiding consumer home buyers through the complex process of acquiring title insurance as part of the mortgage closing process. This potentially confusing process requires home buyers to submit and track documents and payments and respond to queries through many distinct but interrelated and time-sensitive stages. Our solution, designed for Altisource’s Premium Title Services division, employed a wizard-style task tracker that would provide both easy navigation for users and allow them to quickly gauge the status of required actions. The application will enable home buyers to more efficiently and less stressfully obtain required title insurance. The benefits to Premium Title Services include making the process more self-service and thereby greatly reducing customer service calls from home buyers and being to automate processing tasks formerly performed manually.
